Accessible parking: In the rear parking area. A 2600mm wide outside bay is not identified with overhead signage. There are two 80mm high speed humps on the driveway between the accessible parking bay and the main entrance.

Pick up / set down bay: A covered vehicle drop off is in the driveway in front of the main entrance, off Adelaide Street.

External access: Level access from drop off bay to the hotel foyer, suitable to accommodate all wheelchair sizes.

Main entrance: Level access through wide, glazed, automatic sliding doors.

Foyer: Tiled and level throughout, there is ample circulation space for all wheelchair sizes.

Low lounge seating, with armrests is provided in the foyer.

Reception: Counter is at high standing height. No better hearing card on display.

Telephone: A free standing public telephone is located adjacent to the main entrance. The telephone is coin operated with push buttons and does not have adjustable volume control. Highest operable control is 1200mm.

Internet access: Computers are provided in a small room off the main foyer. The door is 760mm wide with restricted circulation space around the inside of the door making it suitable for smaller sized wheelchairs. Desks are 900mm high and 900mm wide. Internet access is available in rooms.

Signage: There is minimal signage required. Signage available is clear, easy to read and in good colour contrast.

Information: Printed information produced by the hotel is in good colour contrast and an easy to read font. There is no TTY available.

Accessible public toilet: There is no public accessible toilet.

Lift: Lift access is provided to all floors.

Lifts are 1470mm x 1280mm, with a clear open door width of 780mm. Direction of travel information is displayed both externally and internally, there is no verbal information provided. External buttons are set at 1480mm high and internal buttons are up to 1450mm high. The external wall opposite the lift door has a wall mirror.

Accessible rooms: There are two accessible rooms both on the sixth floor and do not have adjoining rooms. They are presently designated as smoking rooms, however will be non smoking as from April 2007.

Emergency: There are audible alarms in all rooms. Emergency egress maps are set at standing height. Emergency egress stairs are in close proximity, opposite the lift, with no space on the internal landing to accommodate a wheelchair.

Corridors to rooms: Carpeted with sufficient space to accommodate all wheelchair sizes.

Accessible rooms:

Door: Door width is 790mm. The entrance swing door is light to open and fast to close, with a knob style handle. Access into the room is suitable for a small to medium wheelchairs only due to restricted space around the outside of the entry door.

There is a peep hole set at a standing height in the door. Access into the room is via a key.

Tea and coffee: Facilities are at sitting height with sufficient circulation space to be accessed by wheelchairs of all sizes.

Lounge: Lounge seating is located in the bedroom, near the bed. A tub style chair with armrests and a seat height of 380mm is provided.

Bed: A queen sized bed is on castors, it is 540mm high and there is 90mm available space under the bed to accommodate a mobile hoist. The bed is firm.

Bathroom:

Door: 840mm wide swing door that is light to open. Has a ‘D’ style handle with a large locking device.

Pan height: 460mm high.

Basin height: 780mm.

Shower: Hand held shower and wall mounted fold down seat.

Coat hook: provided at a sitting height

Emergency call buttons: No

Lighting; Low switch provided

Room facilities:
 TV with remote control
 Lowered light switches by the bed
 High wall mounted air conditioning controls

Café 196:
Café 196 serves a buffet breakfast and a la carte dinner and is located on the ground floor via a wide level corridor. Buffet breakfast is served on a sitting height counter. Side approach is required. There is circulation space within the cafe for larger style wheelchairs. Tables are moveable and have central pedestals. Chairs have armrests.

Menu: Menus have a large font in good colour contrast with a serif style font.

Pool: Not available.

Guest Laundry: Located on level four. The entrance door is 720mm wide and circulation space within the room is extremely limited. A laundry service is available.
