West Pavilion accessible toilet (Barrack Square)

Location: The toilet is located at the back of the West Pavilion, Barrack Square.

Summary:
Unisex toilet, located in a dark corridor at the rear of the pavilion.
Limited directional signage.
Adequate circulation space internally.

Opening hours: Open during trading hours of adjacent restaurants and cruises operating from the jetties.

Path of travel: The toilet is located at the back of the pavilion along a wide corridor (1600mm). There is a short, steep ramp with a gradient of 1:10 (5.7 degrees) at the west end of the corridor, with alternate level access at the east end.

Signage: There is no directional signage to the toilet and no sign on the toilet door.

Toilet: A unisex accessible toilet, located at the rear of the West Pavilion along a wide corridor (1600mm). There is a short, steep ramp with a gradient of 1:10 (5.7 degrees) at the west end of the corridor, with alternative level access at the east end. There is no directional signage to the toilet and there is poor passive surveillance. A sensor light activates on entering the toilet.

The door has a D handle and small snib
Door is heavy to open and slow to close
Pan height is 460mm and set out 860mm
Basin height is 780mm with knee access
