Location: 560 Hay Street, Perth Summary: Signage: A mix of signage including a blackboard with daily menu and a table menu in good colour contrast, easy to read. External access: Direct access off the wide Hay Street footpath. There is a small lip of 30mm at the main entrance. Alfresco dining is located on the street side of the Brasserie, keeping the building line clear. Entrance door: The 1470mm wide manually opened sliding concertina doors are kept open during opening hours. Internal: There is sufficient space for all styles of wheelchairs to move throughout the café. The Brasserie has wooden floors. Food counter: The self serve buffet is at sitting
height where food displays are easy to see. There is a small soft
drinks fridge to the right of the payment counter accessible at
a sitting height. There is a long bar counter at a standing height
at the rear of the café.
Payment counter: At a standing height directly in front of the main thoroughfare. Seating: Moveable chairs at a height of 420mm, the bar stools are 1700mm and the lounge chairs towards the right of the payment counter are 330mm high. Tables are moveable and have substantial knee clearance with corner legs and are 730mm high. Menu: The table menus have12 point font headings and descriptions of the food in smaller font in light colour, but there are good size pictures of the dishes available. The drinks menu is easy to read with good colour contrast. Lighting: There is natural light through large windows from the street front.
