(Western arcade) and Sidewalk Eatery toilets (Eastern arcade). Signage: Signage throughout the arcade is large,
easy to read in good colour contrast. External Access: Level access of both the Murray
and Hay Street Malls. A 5m long, gentle ramp (3.6 degrees, 1:16) connects the rear of
Carillon City to Trinity Arcade. Internal: The arcade comprises two interconnecting
arcades (Western and Eastern). Access between the Western and Eastern
arcades is via level access ways, or ramps. Pedestrian access between levels is via lifts or escalators. There
is circulation space throughout the arcade to accommodate all wheelchair
sizes. Murray Street Level:
Access between
the Western and Eastern arcades is via a 4m long ramp which has
a gentle gradient (1:11, 5.3 degrees). This ramp is located between
the Carillon Food Court
(Western side) and Miss Maud’s.
An 8m long
ramp at the rear of the Carillon Food Court leads to more food stalls.
The ramp has a gradient of 1:13, (4.4 degrees).
Hay Street Level:
Predominately
flat with gentle slopes connecting the Western and Eastern arcades. Upper Hay Street Level:
A 5 ○ ramp connects the Western and Eastern arcades. Retail: Level access into all shops. Western Lift: This lift provides access from the
Basement level, Murray Street level (adjacent to Carillon Food Court),
Hay Street Level, Upper Hay Street Level (Sidewalk
Eatery and accessible toilets) and Gallery Level (Perth Tourist
Lounge and accessible toilets). It is located on the western side
of the arcades. Lift car size is 1560mm x 2250mm with a door width of 1200mm. External
controls are free of obstructions and positioned 1350-1400mm high,
internal controls are 1300-1400mm high. Controls have good colour
contrast. There is no auditory information. Eastern Lift: This lift provides access from Murray
Street Mall level to Hay Street level, Upper Hay Street level
and the Office Tower level (Centre Management). It is located on
the eastern side of the arcades. Lift car size is 1600mm x 1600mm with a door width of 910mm. External
controls are free of obstructions and positioned at 1000mm high,
internal controls are 1060-1400mm high. Controls have good colour
contrast. There is an audible tone on arrival of the lift. No internal
audible announcements. Serviced unisex accessible toilets:
Location: Take the western lift to The Gallery Level (level
2).
Cost: 30 cents is collected by an attendant.
External access: Via Western Lift. Access from Street level from
Hay and Murray Streets are level and wide. All wheelchairs could
access these toilets.

of 910mm. External controls are free of obstructions and positioned
at 1000mm high, internal controls are 1060mm - 1400mm high. Controls
have good colour contrast. There is an audible tone on arrival of
the lift.
Internal: Seating is on two levels with a raised seated area accessible
by two steps only. This upper level has tables and chairs and leads
to alfresco dining.
Space between seating is restricted and would accommodate users
of smaller wheelchairs. Tray returns and bins can be reached by
wheelchair users.
Food outlets: Food displays can be seen from a sitting height, counters
are at standing height.
Seating: Tables and chairs are moveable. Chairs are a standard height

and provide knee clearance. There are some fixed, low bar style
benches and seats.
