Opening hours: Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 5pm

Public transport: Train and bus stations are a long walk from the Cloisters Post Office. The GPO is located in Forrest Chase, close to the Perth train station and main bus station. The Red CAT bus stops at the front of His Majesty’s Theatre, near the post office. The stop number is 18.

Accessible Parking: Cloisters Car Park with vehicular access off St George’s Terrace or Hay Street. Pedestrian access from the car park to Hay Street level is via a lift. Unobstructed path of travel from the lift to Australia Post.

Alternatively, His Majesty’s Car Park located over the road from the post office, with vehicular access off Murray Street. There is an unobstructed path of travel from the car park to the post office.

Entrance: Level entrance with automatic opening glass sliding doors.

Internal: A person using a small wheelchair could move through the retail area of the post office. Due to the numerous display stands access for larger power chairs will be limited. Retail displays are high up to about 2m.

Counter: The counters are at standing height only. All electronic forms of payment are accepted. Directional signage to the entrance of the queuing area is difficult to find. The queuing system involves the counter attendant calling to the next customer ‘next please’. No other auditory or visual displays or cues.

The counter provided for customers to address mail is at standing height.

There is no ‘Better Hearing Card’ on display.

Signage: Minimal signage within the facility. Directional signs to the counter are not apparent from the entrance but are large and easy to read with good colour contrast.
