Paragon CBD Arcade

Location: 797 Hay Street. Paragon CBD arcade links Hay Street and St Georges Terrace and is located between Hay and William Streets.

Summary:
 Level access from both entrances and into all retail shops. The arcade has a gentle slope.
 Large print directory map at the entrance.
 Public unisex accessible toilet within the arcade.

Opening hours: 6.30am to 9pm every day of the week.

 His Majesty’s Car Park (CPP) (6 bays)

Closest public transport:
 Red CAT stop 17 Hay Street

Drop off Bay: There is a 15 minute universal drop off bay:
 Hay Street, in front of His Majesty’s Theatre
 Hay Street, in front of Cloisters Shopping Arcade

Signage: There is a large print, easy to read directory and map at the entrance to the arcade and it is positioned at standing height.

External access:
Hay Street: Level access
St Georges Terrace: Level access
SGIO Atrium: Access into the SGIO atrium is via a set of double automatic swing glass doors with very little visual identification. The atrium has ramps to the lift level and the St Georges Terrace level.

Internal: The arcade has a gentle rise of 2.5 degrees (1:23) at the St Georges Terrace end.

Retail: Level entrance into all shops.

Paragon CBD Food court:
A food court is located in the arcade close to the Hay Street entrance.

External access: Wide level access into the food court.

Internal: All sizes of wheelchairs could move around the outer area of the food court. Seating is restricted in the middle of the food court. There is tiled flooring.

Food Outlets: There are approximately 8 stalls in the food court. There is sufficient space at the front of the stalls to accommodate all wheelchair users. Counters are at standing height.

Seating: All chairs and tables have central pedestal legs and are movable. Chairs do not have armrests. The bin and tray return are at standing height.

Signage: There is a large print, easy to read directory and map at the entrance to the arcade and is positioned at standing height. Blackboard menus are large print and easy to read.

Unisex accessible toilet:
Location: Ground floor of the arcade (Hay Street end) past the food court and at the end of a corridor on the right.

Signage: There is no clear directional signage to the toilet.

External access: The entrance to the corridor is 930mm wide, all styles of wheelchairs could move through the rest of the corridor to the toilet.

Toilet door: Level entry. Manually operated swing door is light to operate, closes quickly. D style handle with small snib. All styles of wheelchairs could be moved through into the toilet.

Pan height: 470mm

Basin height: 760mm

Other: Pull down hand towel roll at 1600mm high.

Lighting: The toilet has a blue light inside
