Accessible parking: Accessible parking is available in the Queen Street Car Park.

Accessible street entrance: There are 13 steps, each 150mm high, from Murray Street up to the hotel foyer. A restricted-use lift is provided adjacent to the stairs.

Restricted use lift: A lift is installed adjacent the main stairs and provides access to the hotel foyer and Bin 305 Restaurant. The lift car size is 1000mm (width) x 1500mm (depth) and is open for public use. A staff member does not have to be present to operate the lift.

The lift has a D handle to pull open the access door, which is a half door at the top and a full door at the base. The clear open door width is 900mm, it is light to open and closes slowly. There is no clearance on the latch side of the door at the top. The lift is driven by a constant pressure toggle switch.

Foyer: The floor is a combination of low pile carpet and tiles. There is ample circulation space through the foyer. Seating is provided. The chairs are soft and low (370mm high) with no armrests. The foyer is a busy area as this is also the accessible entrance to the hotel’s restaurant, Bin 305.

The reception counter is at a very high standing height. No Better Hearing Card is on display.

Signage: Signage is clear and easy to read. Verbal announcements only are made in emergency situations.

Lift: A lift is provided to all floors. This lift is 1700mm x 1600mm, with a clear open door width of 1000mm. Direction of travel information is displayed both externally and internally. There is an external audible tone on lift arrival. External buttons are 900mm - 1000mm high and are obstructed by a moveable bin. Internal controls are between 950mm - 1300mm high and have tactile and Braille information.

Corridors: All wheelchairs can move through the hotel corridors.

Emergency: Audible alarms are provided in the accessible bedrooms. In the case of an emergency verbal announcements are also made.

Emergency egress maps can be read from sitting height and there would be sufficient space for a smaller wheelchair on the emergency stairwell.

Signage: All signage is well located, easy to read and understand.

Rooms: All seven accessible rooms are located on the first floor (smoking level). Two of the accessible rooms are adjoined by a standard room which can be used by carers / family.

Entrance: The rooms have a level entrance with a heavy-to-open swing door with lever handle. The room is accessed by the standard key card. The door has a clear open width of 810mm. Both the internal and external entrances have limited circulation space and there is 200mm clearance on the latch side of the door. The external corridor is 1100mm. The room has low pile carpet.

Tea / coffee / kitchen facilities: A self-contained kitchen with a two coil ceramic stove, microwave (can be moved down to bench height), fridge and sink with taps located on the side. A wheelchair user would need to use a side approach to the kitchen bench, which is 900mm high and has a kick plate.

Lounge: Seats are moveable, high and firm with armrests.

Bed: A queen-size bed with castors is provided in all accessible rooms. The clearance under the beds is 130mm which may not accommodate the legs of a standard mobile hoist. When sat on, the bed is high at 540mm. All light switches, the TV remote and air conditioning controls are located down low. Rooms are spacious and there is circulation space within the room for a person using a large size wheelchair.

Bathroom: The bathroom door has a clear open width of 830mm, lever handle and large snib. There is no door closer, which makes the door light to open.

Other room facilities: TV, large number phone with illuminated numbers and high / low audible adjustment and remote control air conditioning.

Conference facilities: Located on the ground level

Bin 305 Restaurant: The accessible entrance to the restaurant is directly off the hotel foyer. It has an accessible toilet, bar, buffet breakfast for hotel guests and restaurant / café dining. Table service is provided.

Pool / Gym: The hotel guests can utilise the Active 8 Gym which is located nearby.
