17 William Street Closest accessible toilet: Located in the basement
(car park) of the Wesley Arcade building. Accessible parking: Parking is made available
at service times in the basement car park of Wesley Arcade. There
are no designated accessible parking bays; however there is ample
parking space available. Pedestrian access to street level is via
a lift.
Vehicular access into the car park is off Murray Street via Wolfe
Lane. Lift: Lift provides access from the basement car
park to ground level (church) and level 1 (retail) and 2 (auditorium
/ Wesley offices). The lift is 1400mm x 1400mm, door width is 880mm.
External controls are at 1380mm and internal between 1170mm - 1300mm
- both sets provide good colour contrast. No verbal or tonal announcements. External access:
William Street: Accessible entrance is via steps or a ramp at a
gradient of 1:13 (4.5°). The ramp provides access for users
of smaller to medium sized wheelchairs. Hay Street: Access through the Wesley Courtyard
toward William Street. Use the William Street ramp.
Church Main entrance: Doors which are held open and are
950mm wide.
Internal: All styles of wheelchair could easily
move through the church. The flooring is carpet and wood.
No designated wheelchair seating, however there is room available
at the front and rear of the church.
The seating is wooden pews.
Access to the altar is via two steps.
The lecturn is at standing height and is accessed via the steps
to the alter.
Chapel Main entrance: Doors are held open, first set are
1320mm wide. Second door is 870mm wide.
Internal: Restricted space with seating for approximately
20. Seats are moveable. Information: Printed information about the church
is in 12 point font.
Order of service is in various font styles from 8 - 12 points.
Take home brochures are on low stands or on tables.
There is limited signage, though signage provided is easy to read
in large font in good colour contrast. An audio loop is provided inside the church.
Accessible toilet Location: In the basement car park. Availability: Open during service times. Gender: Unisex. Signage: The toilet is difficult to find as there
is minimal signage, however a steward is available during service
times to give directional instructions. External access: Lift to car park with level wide
access to the toilet.

and a self latching small snib.

Basin height: 850mm
Emergency call bell adjacent the pan.
