CENTRAL PARK

Provides a well shaded quiet seating area.

Location

Corner of William and Hay Street, opposite Wesley Church with a red Cat stop on the Hay Street footpath.

 

Access from the footpath Level access onto wide paths. All grassed areas are raised and can be accessed via steps. The grassed area adjacent to Hay Street has a ramp. No seats are available on the grass.
Seating

There is an abundance of bench style seating with a seat height of 450mm, a low rear wall providing minimal backrest support and seats have no armrests. These are located around the park on the easily accessible lower paved paths and the design of the park provides spaces for wheelchairs along side the seating.

 

Drinking fountain

There is an accessible drinking fountain set at two levels near the Hay Street entrance. It has generous circulation space and is on flat ground.

 

Safety

Vegetation and raised grassed areas will prohibit passive surveillance from Hay Street.

 

Lighting

There is overhead lighting.
