Celebrating Australia Day Responsibly
Keep Australia Beautiful
No Bottles – No Injuries
Don’t forget Lotterywest Australia Day Skyworks is a glass free event –
no bottles.
To be an ‘Aussie’ is to take pride in everything that is Australian and that includes the environment. This year we’d like you to send the message out loud and clear on Australia Day, “make this a clean event”.
We’re making it easy for you to do the right thing.
Rubbish Bags
There will be volunteers greeting you as you arrive, roaming the
foreshore and handing out rubbish bags throughout the afternoon.
Just remember…
RED for RUBBISH
YELLOW for RECYCLE
Get your bag from the volunteers and use it to for your litter and recyclables
throughout the day and then bin it.

Bin It
There will be many bins located around the foreshore on the day, meaning
there will definitely be one close to where you are sitting, walking, playing
or celebrating.
When you leave, just grab your bags and drop them in the relevant rubbish or recycle bins.
It’s so easy to do the right thing on Australia Day – let’s leave the foreshore how you found it and take pride in our beautiful country.
Coca-Cola Recycling Zone
Be part of the Coca-Cola Recycling Zone and show you care for your city on Australia Day.

Take your empty aluminium, plastic or glass containers to one of the Coca-Cola Recycling Zones on The Esplanade or Langley Park in the City or by the Youth Zone on Sir James Mitchell Park in South Perth for a chance to win one of several instant prizes.
Prizes include Australia Day temporary tattoos, keyrings, Australian flags, sunglasses shoulder bags and cooler tubs.
Last year more than 1.9 tonnes of recyclable material was collected during Skyworks, let's make 2009 even better.
