Making the most of the Lotterywest Australia Day Skyworks
Road Closures
Kings Park (see map below)
All roads in Kings Park will be closed from 6am to 11.30pm.
City of Perth (see map below)
Riverside Drive eastbound from Victoria Avenue to Plain Street will be closed from 8am to 11.30pm.
Riverside Drive westbound from the Causeway to the Freeway and access to Barrack Square will be closed from 12noon to 11.30pm. Access to Point Fraser car park from the Causeway will still be available.
Mitchell Freeway and Kwinana Freeway on and off-ramps to Mounts Bay Road and Riverside Drive will be closed from 12noon to 11.30pm. Other off-ramps to the City will remain open until 8.50pm.
City of South Perth (see map below)
The roads bounded by Labouchere Road, Angelo Street, Douglas Ave and Mill Point Road to Wray Road, will be closed from 8am to 10pm. Unless you reside in this area, access will only be granted by providing the traffic controllers with a City of South Perth approved access permit.
Kwinana Freeway Northbound
The Mill Point Road exit ramp to South Perth will be closed to all traffic from 6am to 11.30pm.
Kwinana Freeway Southbound
The Mill Point Road exit ramp to South Perth will be closed from 3pm to 10pm.
Victoria Park (see map below)
Taylor Street, Garland Street and McCallum Lane will be closed from 8am until the roads are re-opened by WA Police.
After Skyworks
Malcolm Street and Kings Park Road, between Havelock Street and Harvest Terrace, will be closed from 9.30pm to allow spectators to leave Kings Park safely.
The CBD bounded by the foreshore, Milligan Street, Wellington Street and Victoria Avenue will be closed from 9.30pm to allow safe pedestrian access to Perth Train Stations.
In Northbridge, the roads bounded by William Street, Roe Street, Parker Street and Francis Street will be closed from 9.30pm.
Traffic will be directed by WA Police to ensure minimum delays and safe exit from the City and South Perth.
Private Car Parks – vehicles in private car parks within the CBD road closure areas are not permitted to exit the carparks until the roads are re-opened.
Police will re-open roads at their discretion, when it is safe to do so.
