City of Perth Cycle Plan
City of Perth is in the process of developing a Cycle Plan for the City to support the thousands of cyclists in the City at present and encourage others to take up cycling.

During August 2010, the City of Perth received over 1200 responses to it's initial public consultation survey for the development of the Plan. We thank all those that took the time to give their input into the process and spread the word about the survey to their friends, family and colleagues. We'll be providing examples of the types of feedback we've received on this page - so you can see a sample of the vision's people gave for cycling in Perth, what people enjoy and how the public suggested we can improve.
Your feedback and suggestions will be reviewed over the next few months. The results of the survey, input from stakeholders, and other information, will be used to write the draft Cycle Plan and the public will then have another opportunity to comment on the activities included in the Plan.
It is envisaged that this document reflects the City's strategic direction, includes objectives and targets for cycling in Perth and is supported by;
- the development of a Strategic Network
- best practice Land Use Planning principles
- improved Infrastructure and Safety
- increased End-of-Trip facilities
- identified opportunities for Integrated Transport Programs and Projects
- high quality Education and Training
- effective Encouragement and Promotion activities
Following your submissions to the Draft Cycle Plan and the appropriate changes being made, the Cycle Plan will then be given to your Councillors so it can be endorsed as the official policy of the City of Perth.
