Cut-price parking for weekend shoppers

There's good news for city shoppers with weekend parking rates in three popular City of Perth car parks being slashed by half.
The 50 per cent discount applies for the first four hours of parking at His Majesty’s, Pier Street and Regal Place car parks on Saturdays and Sundays.
City of Perth CEO Frank Edwards says the City is the State’s best shopping location and its attractiveness would be enhanced by cheaper parking options.
“Our parking rates are already very competitive but the weekend discounts are a bonus for astute shoppers,” he said.
“This four-hour shopping window means families will have plenty of time to do the shopping and enjoy some of the entertainment and attractions only the City has to offer.
“The City is also planning promotions which will make a visit to the City an even more enticing proposition. These will be announced in the weeks to come.
“To find the cheapest and most convenient places to park people can access the free City of Perth Parking ‘app’, which has details of the number of vacant bays in selected car parks. Just check the app before leaving home and select the best parking option.”
