Abandoned Vehicles
Every attempt is made to locate the owner(s) of an abandoned vehicle, including liaison with the Police Department for registration details and stolen vehicle information.

Claiming an impounded vehicle
Owners can claim their vehicle by producing the vehicle registration papers and paying accrued fees to the cashier at Customer Service Centre, Council House, Ground Floor, 27 St. George's Terrace, Perth. Owners are then required to phone Auto Care Towing Service to make arrangements to collect vehicle. The receipt of payment must be produced before the vehicle is released.
Charges levied on abandoned vehicles
The following charges are imposed on abandoned vehicles:

| Towage | $55.00 |
| Administration fee | $57.00 |
Unclaimed vehicles
Unclaimed vehicles must be held by the City of Perth for a minimum of 2 months, after which time they are sold by tender.

- advertised in the West Australian
- displayed on the City of Perth's public notice board - Ground Floor, Council House, 27 St George's Terrace, Perth
- displayed in the Tenders section of the City of Perth website
