Nominations for Council open on Thursday 7 September 2017 and close at 4.00pm on Thursday 14 September 2017. Potential Candidates should be aware of their obligations in relation to disclosure of electoral donations when standing for Council. Candidates and donors are required to disclose any electoral related gifts promised or received within the six months prior to polling day. Importantly as an intended candidate you are entitled to information and communications related to the elections, therefore you are asked to make your intentions known to the Chief Executive Officer so that you can be kept informed throughout the electoral process. Your intention to run will remain confidential until the time of your nomination. The City of Perth has a Voluntary Code of Conduct for Candidates in City of Perth Elections. Each candidate (not being an Elected Member) will be requested to agree to abide by the Voluntary Code once it is obvious that a person intends to become a candidate or when a person announces their intention to be a candidate.
