The City of Perth is proud to announce the commencement of Le Cordon Bleu’s new Bachelor of Business Convention and Event Management degree in Perth. July saw twenty-one students enrolled in the programme delivered at Le Cordon Bleu Perth Institute in a world-class, purpose-built facility. Le Cordon Bleu will now form part of the growing $1.18 billion Tech, Vocational & Tertiary Education sector within the City of Perth.
The new Bachelor of Business Convention and Event Management programme commenced with an Orientation Week held on-campus in the first week of July, to welcome and introduce new students to Le Cordon Bleu staff, academics and their new learning environment.
The first group of students come from United Kingdom, Malaysia, India, China, Japan, Vietnam and Australia. Graduates from the new convention & event management programme will join a thriving industry sector in Perth; timely given the influx of new 5 Star accommodations that has entered the local market. The degree is uniquely tailored to meet industry needs in the burgeoning Perth events and tourism sector.
Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi said the new degrees would complement the burgeoning hospitality industry within the City of Perth.
“An abundance of quality new hotels and developments is driving demand for world-class industry service, and Le Cordon Bleu have recognised the opportunities here in Perth to foster the expertise that will grow our reputation as a global hospitality destination,” Ms Scaffidi said.
The City of Perth has been assisting Le Cordon Bleu into the Perth market; it is the latest addition to Le Cordon Bleu Australia with schools in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide and 35 institutes worldwide.
