Collecting Perth - recent acquisitions from the City of Perth Collection
8 - 22 December 2017, 10 - 14 January 2018

Who are the people of Perth? Where have we been, and where are we headed?

A cultural collection can tell us a lot about a place. The City of Perth Art Collection holds works significant to Perth and beyond, traversing a range of social, cultural, and historical narratives.

Collecting Perth looks back at the year of the City/s art acquisitions with a selection of contemporary and historical works by artists such as Elizabeth Blair-Barber, Consuelo Cavaniglia, Tom Gibbins, Jeremy Kirwan-Ward, Joanna Lamb, Laurel Nannup, Ron Nyisztor and Greg Pryor. Eclectic by nature, the exhibition highlights the diversity of the City's collecting habits and commitment to representing and interpreting Perth.
