The City of Perth, in conjunction with the Korean Cultural Centre Australia is proud to present the Korean Film Festival from 15 to 18 November.

Chair Commissioner Eric Lumsden said the movies to be shown as part of the festival will dive into the wonderful and varied world of Korean contemporary cinema, including an exclusive premiere screening of new release ‘Little Forest’.

“Perth is a multicultural melting pot which positively exposes people to different food, culture, experiences and entertainment,” Commissioner Lumsden said.

“The vibrant selection of films will delight fans of Korean film, as well as introduce Korean cinema to a wider Australian demographic.

“Given there are forty businesses identifying as Korean traders within the City, the festival presents a unique cultural experience which fits perfectly with our objective to celebrate the diversity of our community.”

On Saturday 17 November, festival goers can also enjoy a live K-Pop dance concert at 6pm at the Piazza, highlighting the diversity of Korean arts and culture.

The festival closes on Sunday 18 September with Korea’s highest-grossing comedy film of all time, My Sassy Girl, a romantic comedy based on a series of true stories posted on the internet.
