Community, business and arts organisations with events or projects between February and July 2019, are invited to apply for the grants of up to $40,000 each.

Chair Commissioner Eric Lumsden said the grants were integral in developing a spectrum of vibrant, diverse and friendly events within Perth.

“The City of Perth recognises that investment in the arts is pivotal to the cultural enrichment and economic diversity of our city,” Mr Lumsden said.

“These events and projects celebrate cultural diversity throughout the city and help build partnerships between community, business and government bodies.

“If you’re looking to host an event during 2019 within the City of Perth, we encourage you to visit our website, and learn more about how to apply.”

In previous years, the City has provided grants for Night Noodle Markets, Brookfield Winter Lights Festival, Black Swan State Theatre Company and the Perth Poetry Festival.

Applications are open Tuesday, 31 July to Tuesday, 4 September and successful applicants will be notified no later than 21 November 2018.
