Chair Commissioner Eric Lumsden said the opening of Optus Stadium and the completion the Matagarup Bridge have changed the demand and dynamic of parking requirements, specific to East Perth.

“The City has been monitoring the affect event days at the stadium have on on-street parking in the area, and is keen to hear from surrounding residents and businesses about how it’s being managed,” Commissioner Lumsden said.

“While we’ve worked closely with residents and businesses to minimise disruption and access issues, through the public consultation the City wants to determine if any further improvements can be implemented.”

The public consultation period is open until 5pm, Sunday 14 October 2018 and feedback will be considered as part of the review into on-street parking management in East Perth.
