Welcome to the City of Perth, the local government authority for the capital of Western Australia.

The City is experiencing substantial growth in terms of inner-city living, development and industry, servicing 100,000 daily visitors and workers in addition to its 15,000 inner-city residents. The City of Perth is a major provider of free entertainment for the 1.6 million people in the metropolitan area and is the premier destination for business, entertainment, nightlife, culture and the arts.

Community input sought for City's Disability Access and Inclusion Plan 2011 - 2015. 8th Sep 2010

Recognising the importance of access in the city for residents, workers and visitors, the City of Perth is undertaking a revision of its Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP) and invites individuals and organisations to have input into the review of current initiatives and the development of the new plan.

Dozens of artworks to bloom in the City 1st Sep 2010

From 17 - 19 September, 27 temporary artworks will be installed throughout city retailers and around public artworks to celebrate City in Bloom.

In Transit - a video and new media art project 31st May - 14th November 2010

The In Transit screen spaces are located within two disused shop spaces in the Wellington Street Bus Station. Every two weeks, video and new media works from four emerging artists/groups will screen, looped, from 6am to 11.30pm every day.

The exhibition will focus on two extraordinary places in Perth during this time, which encouraged these new ideas to flourish: the Coolbaroo Club (1947-1960) and the Coffee Pot (1956-1979).
