In July 2013 the City of Perth commenced works on the eastern end of Langley Park to improve drainage and raise the surface level of the reserve.
The City of Perth engaged a hydrology consultancy to investigate seasonal water logging and ponding of water at the eastern end of Langley Park.
The water logging experienced in the winter months is a result of rainwater collecting in low areas and being unable to drain through the clay subsoil layer.
It was anticipated that the work would be completed by October 2013, however the completion date has been delayed until November 2013 due to weather conditions.
The project is due to recommence week beginning 7 October and should be completed within 2 weeks.
