Demolition Applications

Documentation Required:

For a Demolition Licence Only:

  • Demolition Licence Application Form
  • Applicable Fees
  • Rat Baiting Certificate
  • Worksafe Clearance Certificate (in accordance with the Occupational Safety & Health Regulations)
  • Demolition Method Statement
  • Noise Management Plan
  • Vibration Management Plan

For a Demolition Licence requiring a Planning Approval:

  • Metropolitan Region Scheme Form 1 (see link on right). 
    The correct Lot, Folio and Volume Numbers should be included if known.
    This form is a legal document and MUST be signed by the OWNERS OF THE PROPERTY/LAND.
  • Four (4) Sets of Working Drawings (Site Plans & Elevations)
  • Applicable Fees Payable - $127.00 (Please call 9461 3366should you require any further information relating to the fees).

Please check that all forms are FULLY AND CORRECTLY COMPLETED

Application Fee $50.00 per building, per storey
Works Bond $1,500 per building, per storey
Planning Fee (if applicable) $127
Administration Fee $75.00

Notes:
1. A Worksafe Clearance is required for all ‘Specified Demolition Work’ as defined under the Occupational Safety and Health Regulations.
2. A gas service disconnection request form is required to be submitted to Alinta Gas prior to the commencement of any demolition works. For further information contact Alinta Gas on 131356.
3. The Application Form must be fully completed including owners particulars and all address detail.
4. Rat Baits must be down for 14 days before Health Clearance can be granted to issue the licence.
5. The BCITF Levy applies to demolitions valued in excess of $20,000 and should be paid directly to the ‘Building and Construction Industry Training Fund’. Tel: 9381 3900 for more information.
6. The Noise Management Plan will need to demonstrate compliance with the Environmental Protection Act.
7. Where demolition may cause damage or nuisance to adjoining building a Vibration Management Plan is required.
8. The Administration Fee ($75.00) is charged in addition to all other fees, and applies to applications requiring works bonds only.
