Testimonials

Brian Buckley, Picabar - Cultural Centre, Northbridge

“We used the City of Perth Small Business Grant to purchase outdoor furniture for a previously unused courtyard outside our building.  The grant was extremely handy at the time and the new area, and the furniture in it, has been well received.”

Burger Bistro on Shafto Lane

"It was great to get some financial support from the City of Perth to improve our business through the installation of a retractable awning.  As the heavy storms last year brought down large branches that provided shade and ambiance the installation of the awning has allowed us to recreate a pleasant outdoor dining experience at our Shafto Lane shop.  The City of Perth staff was great in guiding us through the grant process and really understood what we were trying to achieve".

Cabin Fever Café, Bon Marche Arcade on Barrack Street

"Cabin Fever Cafe has been a long time coming- the space has been in development for over a year. Cabin Fever was granted $10,000 from the City of Perth, in the form of a Matched Funding Grant to contibute to the fitout of our new cafe".

POPP – Public Outdoor Ping Pong

"The world of public outdoor ping pong has been buzzing these past months. POPP now has tables installed in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne. Our 1,000 friends on facebook is quickly becoming 2,000. We are heading to the Parks & Leisure Australia national conference in September. We will soon be releasing our concrete ping pong table. Magazines including Frankie, Men’s Style and Yen have been writing about us, and radio stations, property developers, universities and major newspapers have been poking us. Our interactive website is going live in two weeks!".
