In January 2010, the City of Perth adopted the Public Art Study: Review Report, the first step in a process to develop a clear direction for public art in Western Australia’s capital city.

The report includes:

  • a review of the City’s past and existing processes and practices for developing and managing art in public places;
  • an analysis of the public art processes of government authorities locally, nationally and internationally;
  • the findings of the stakeholder consultation;
  • recommendations for future direction.

The recommendations of this report were adopted in 2010 and the City of Perth is currently developing its first Public Art Strategy and Public Art Policy.
