The City of Perth employs around 700 staff to undertake the business of Council. This includes essential community services such as waste management, cleaning, managing community amenities, maintaining parks and gardens and upgrading footpaths and roads. Staff are based at Council House on St Georges Terrace with operational staff working from a depot in Osborne Park.

In the recent City of Perth 2022 Culture Survey, 93% of staff rated the City of Perth as a good place to work and 68% said they intended to still work at the City in three years. In fact, the survey results were the best results in five years.
