The brainchild of bar and pub owners Andy Freeman and Tim McLernon, this venue-led campaign is supported by the City of Perth and aims to revitalise Thursday nights through exciting offers, tantalising menu items and epic events.

There will be degustation dinners for the food aficionados, hot deals for those of who love a bargain, live music performed by locals, plus all manner of fun and games.

“The City is happy to once again support this initiative,” City of Perth Chair Commissioner Eric Lumsden said.

“The Let’s Thursday Like We Friday campaign allows venues to come together – encouraging new Thursday night habits with fantastic experiences and supports local businesses to activate and enliven the city.”

Kicking off on 2 May and running every Thursday for five weeks, Let’s Thursday Like We Friday will see over 60 popular venues join forces to create a city-wide celebration.

From gastronomical cocktails and enticing eats, to unique walking tours and secret gigs, Let’s Thursday Like We Friday is a chance for city visitors, workers and residents to embrace Thursdays and start their weekend early.

The Flour Factory, Caballitos and Varnish On King owner Andy Freeman said he saw the initiative as a collective movement between city venues to bring that Friday feeling to Thursdays.

“It’s a great opportunity to instil excitement into the week with more than just drink offers and it encourages people to discover new venues or rediscover old favourites,” he said.

Thursday is more than just another day ending in ‘Y’. It’s the gateway day to the weekend.
