This August, Plateful Perth 2026 will transform the City of Perth into a food lover's paradise, bringing bursts of flavour and vibrancy to every corner of the city. This is your opportunity to join the mix of culinary treasures in the City of Perth this winter.

Following feedback from participating businesses, the 2026 program includes a streamlined, two-stage application process to ensure participation is more accessible and manageable.

  • What are the costs associated with participating in Plateful Perth?
    There is no cost to participate in Plateful Perth. While businesses are responsible for funding their own events, the City will promote them at no cost to you through a paid advertising campaign. All ticket sales go directly to the participating venue.
  • What is the timeline for participating in Plateful Perth?
    • Stage one applications open: 3 March 2026. Apply here
    • Business Engagement Sessions: 17 March 2026 and 19 March 2026
    • Stage one applications close: 31 March 2026.
    • Confirmation of participation: Successful applicants will be notified by 15 April 2026.
    • Event dates: 1 – 31 August 2026.

    To register your business for Plateful Perth 2026, simply submit your stage one application through the official application form here. The deadline for submission is Tuesday, 31 March 2026.

  • What are the campaign categories?
    • Premium Plates: Exclusive one-off or limited-time dining experiences such as chef-hosted dinners, degustations, and wine pairings.
    • Sip Sessions: Showcasing the City’s beverage scene through whiskey flights, cocktail masterclasses, and bar-hopping adventures.
    • Feast: Indulgent dining experiences centered around large meals or multi-course offerings, such as chef-curated menus, collaborations, or share-style feasts.
    • Bargain Bites: Affordable options for cost-conscious foodies, including express lunch deals and weekday specials with a minimum 30% discount or added value.
    • Gourmet Getaways: Staycation packages from hotels, including offers like "Stay and Dine," "Bed and Breakfast," and "City Escape."

    To help you create unique offerings, the program facilitators will be sharing a list of creative ideas. This will assist you in developing your own standout contributions to the Plateful Perth campaign.

  • Why was August selected as the month for the campaign?
    August is traditionally a quieter period for hospitality businesses in Perth, making it the perfect time to attract new customers with exclusive offerings.
  • What are the marketing and promotion opportunities available?
    Plateful Perth will be heavily promoted through a comprehensive advertising campaign that includes digital, social, print, and outdoor media. Participating businesses will receive a toolkit with resources to help promote their offer.
  • I am a non-hospitality business. How can I get involved?
    If you're a non-hospitality business, you can still benefit from the increased foot traffic generated by the event. Think about what your business can offer during August and be sure to share it on the Visit Perth business portal for a free promotion.
  • How do customers book?
    Customers will book through each venue’s usual booking system. Be sure to provide the program facilitators with regular updates on bookings so we can help further promote your offer or event.

1. Established bricks and mortar venue:

  • The business must operate a permanent physical venue (restaurant, bar, bistro) located in the City of Perth and use a service that provides food and/or drinks to patrons.
  • Quick service restaurants (QSRs), takeaway-only venues, and small cafes are not eligible.

2. Registered food business:

  • The business must be registered with the City of Perth as a food business and comply with the Australian Food Standards Code.

3. Campaign-specific exclusivity:

  • Submissions must offer an exclusive product, package, or experience that is only available during the Plateful Perth campaign (1 – 31 August 2026).

4. Self-funded:

  • Participating businesses must cover all associated costs for their submission.

5. Promotional participation:

  • Businesses are required to actively promote their submission through their own marketing channels. A campaign toolkit will be provided.

6. High standards of quality:

  • All submissions must reflect the premium positioning of Plateful Perth, with exceptional quality in food, drinks, service, and presentation.

7. Campaign footage:

  • All promotional footage for the campaign will be professionally shot, and businesses cannot provide their own footage for use in campaign materials.

  • Must be available every day in August (1 – 31 August).

Exclusive Staycation Package:

  • The pricing for the full package must reflect the premium nature of the offering, with a clear breakdown of the hotel stay and dining experience. Consider offering value through bundled pricing.

Availability:

  • The offer must be available every day in August. This ensures flexibility for customers.

Booking & Redemption:

  • The staycation must take place in August. The dates for the stay and dining experience must fall within this month.
  • Bookings for the package will be made directly through the hotel, which is required to provide a discount code or booking link for customers to use when making their booking.
  • Bookings must be made in advance, with clear instructions provided to customers on how to reserve both the hotel stay and the dining experience.
