The State Government is proposing a Perth Entertainment and Sporting Precinct in Burswood Park, flanking Optus Stadium, to bring sport, culture and community together in a multi-purpose destination.
The WA Government is seeking ideas from the community and stakeholders to help shape the precinct.
A multi-use racetrack for Supercars and other sports, new 20,000 capacity outdoor live music venue, and new event and function facilities are just some of the ideas proposed.
The precinct’s design will incorporate Burswood Park’s 20 Year Vision, and intends to deliver better transport and connectivity with Optus Stadium and the wider precinct.
The input will inform preliminary concept development, which will then be released for further public consultation.
We encourage all of our residents, particularly those in adjacent East Perth and Claisebrook, to have their say.
There are a number of drop-in community sessions you can attend, running each day from Thursday 12 June to Sunday 15 June, or you can contribute to the consultation platform online or via email.
