The Ceremony took place in Council Chambers at Council House and officiated Elected Members in their new roles to lead the City.
Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds said that tonight’s ceremony marks the beginning of a new chapter for the City of Perth.
“It is an honour to be sworn-in as the 19th Lord Mayor of the City of Perth. I’ve served as the Deputy Lord Mayor fulfilling Lord Mayor duties since March, to now be formally elected to this role is both humbling and meaningful,” Mr Reynolds said.
“Congratulations to the five Councillors sworn in this evening. I look forward to working with you and the sitting councillors to lead a continued trajectory towards a world-class City that delivers for our community now, and in the future.
“We have a unique opportunity to build on Perth’s momentum as one of the world’s most liveable cities and continue to shape a vibrant, safe and welcoming Perth that reflects the pride we all share in Western Australia’s capital.”
The Lord Mayor and Councillors join sitting elected members Cr Catherine Lezer, Cr Raj Doshi and Cr David Goncalves.
