The new platform improves user experience, enhances Perth’s profile as a visitor destination and provides local businesses with greater opportunities to connect with customers.
As the City's official destination website, Visit Perth attracts more than two million views each year and plays a key role in promoting Perth's tourism, hospitality and visitor economy sectors.
The website was developed in consultation with City staff, industry stakeholders and end users, resulting in a more flexible and future-focused platform that can evolve alongside the city’s growing visitor economy.
Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds said the new Visit Perth website would help showcase Perth’s unique experiences while supporting the City’s long-term vision.
"Perth is a city with enormous momentum, and our Capital City Plan 2036 sets out a bold vision for how we continue to grow as a vibrant, connected and welcoming capital city," he said.
"The new Visit Perth website brings that vision to life by showcasing Perth to the world and making it easier for visitors to explore our city."
Mr Reynolds said the Visit Perth project represented an important investment in Perth's destination marketing capability.
“The new platform provides a more engaging experience for users while creating greater visibility and promotional opportunities for local tourism and hospitality businesses," he said.
"Thank you to everyone involved in delivering this project. The result is a modern, flexible platform that will continue to support Perth's visitor economy into the future."
A key feature of the new site is the redesigned Visit Perth Business Portal, which offers eligible tourism and hospitality businesses greater opportunities to showcase their offerings online.
Businesses can manage their listings, events and experiences directly through the portal, helping them reach a broader audience through the City’s official destination website.
Eligible tourism and hospitality businesses can create a free listing on the new Visit Perth Business Portal.
Visit Perth is now live, connecting locals, visitors, workers and businesses with the experiences that make Perth a vibrant and welcoming capital city.
