This year, the City will once again host many of the key annual events, including the all-abilities Sunset Service, Dawn Service, Gunfire Breakfast, and the ANZAC Day March. New for 2025, a special Cathedral Service will also be held as part of the commemorations.
The ANZAC Day Family and Mateship Event will take place on Irwin Street, which will be transformed into a space to socialise, with a licensed area and a variety of food trucks.
Deputy Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds emphasised that these events provide the community with an opportunity to come together and reflect on the history of our ANZACs.
“The City of Perth is proud to support RSLWA in acknowledging and commemorating the contributions of veterans and serving personnel on ANZAC Day,” Cr Reynolds said.
“It’s a great privilege to stand alongside RSLWA to pay our respects to those who have shown unwavering commitment by serving our country.”
“We’re looking forward to the return of key events, which serve as a powerful reminder of the bravery, sacrifice and resilience of the people who serve and continue to serve Australia.”
The City of Perth have also included some ANZAC events as part of the Lotterywest Boorloo Heritage festival, including the Indigenous ANZAC Service and a brand-new ANZAC dedicated tour at the Bell Tower.
The grounds of Government House have again been transformed by more than 40,000 knitted poppies, knitted by hand by the RSLWA Poppy Ladies.
Free parking will be available all day in City of Perth parking bays across the city.
The City of Perth Library and the Citiplace Community Centre will be closed on ANZAC Day and there will be road closures in place to support the Dawn Service and ANZAC Day March.
