Moore Street Accredited Services site
The City of Perth supports people experiencing homelessness and hardship through its Moore Street Accredited Services site.
The site enables a range of providers to deliver services, including meals, clothing, sleeping bags, access to a street doctor and allied health services, as well as a mobile laundry and shower.
In November 2025, the State Government announced plans to construct a new six-storey building at the north-western end of the Royal Perth Hospital (RPH) campus, with two levels dedicated to a new Emergency Department. On completion of these works, Moore Street will see an increased volume of traffic servicing the hospital.
As a result, Moore Street will no longer be a suitable location for the City’s Accredited Services.
What we know
We recognise the critical role these services play in supporting vulnerable members of the communityand have acted quickly to understand potential impacts and minimise disruption where possible.
From early June, construction for the Royal Perth Hospital Emergency Department project will start near Moore Street.
Since February, the City of Perth has been working with the Perth Pulse Alliance, who are delivering the project, to ensure Moore Streetservice providers are informed about the upcoming construction of the RPH Emergency Department and that any impacts to their services are considered.
What happens next
Currently, works, site access and deliveries for the project construction works on Moore Streetare ceasing from 4pm daily to allow the Accredited Services site to continue operating as usual.
The City is working with the State Government to identify a suitable solution to support the continuation of Accredited Services.
Our priority is to support service continuity and minimise disruptions for those who rely on Accredited Services.
